As a Carpenter your job description would be as follows: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes and other materials Assemble, install and finalize items such as sofas, loveseats, tables beds & chase Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures and furnitures May prepare cost estimates for clients.
