Job Duties: Review project specifications to determine the required quantities of materials. Perform surface preparation including scraping, sanding, sandblasting, hydro-blasting, and steam-cleaning. Remove old wallpaper and loose paint; address cracks and holes in walls through repair processes; and sandpaper and apply sealer as needed. Mix and thin paint to achieve the desired color and texture for the project. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Provide advice to customers on the selection of color schemes. Offer cost estimates to customers, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and associated expenses. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion. Uphold safety standards throughout the painting process, ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Qualifications: Completion of secondary school. Previous work experience as a painter is preferred. Knowledge of painting techniques and materials. Physical ability to perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and lifting. Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
