Description

We are currently seeking self-motivated individuals to join our award-winning client as Metal Work Fitter! In this position, you will perform various activities in our Digital Department specializing in large Digital LED Displays! We are looking for Level 2 and Level 3 Metal Work Fitters.

_Starting Pay: $20 (level 2) $24/hr (level 3) + shift premium of $2.50 for weekends!_
Available Shifts:
Weekdays: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Weekends: Friday to Saturday 7:00 am - 7:30 pm (With 4 Additional Hours Top Up, Plus Shift Premiums)

What you will do
Utilize aluminum CNC saw, hydraulic shear, drill press, break press & other metalwork tools to cut structural components as needed
Lay-out, position, secure & assembly aluminum metalwork products in accordance with production drawings & standard work instructions
Construct structural components from raw aluminum material including extrusion & plate aluminum
Using basic hand tool to form structural components
Inspect & measure fabricated components to ensure that they are within the specification provided in the drawings
Cut & prepare metalwork components to be consumed as volume stock
Adhere to all Company Safety related policies, procedures, & training (especially during Covid-19)
Actively identifying continuous improvement opportunities to increase production efficiency & safety
Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Must have working experience in metalwork, metal fitting & or mechanical assembly
Ability to interpret technical drawings of metalwork mechanical assemblies
Experience using basic hand & power tools including drills, drill press, impact driver, glue gun & tape measure
Welding experience & certification is considered a strong asset
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter and the ability work independently
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
Must be able to read and write in English
Fall arrest and Scissor lift training is an asset but not required
