About the Opportunity

As we continue to grow, Centre Electric Ltd. currently has an opportunity for multiple Journeymen Electricians to join our tight-knit team in Vancouver, BC on a full-time basis.

Your essential responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to:

Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations
Being the point of contact with the general contractor's site superintendent
Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all customer's guidelines and provincial safety requirements
Ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget
Estimating materials needed for projects and labour required for a project to be completed on time
More About You

In order to qualify for this role, ideally you must have 4+ years experience running electrical projects on commercial and industrial construction sites. You must have experience working on projects with a budget of $100,000 to $500,000, and an area of 10,000 square feet.

The successful candidate also needs to have the following:

Experience organizing a project work site
Able to do a good set of installation drawings
Able to forecast materials required for a project
Able to project and plan the tasks required for a project and the timeline for those tasks
Knowledge of Bluebeam would be an asset

For this role, we are looking for an organized team member that can also perform electrical projects on active work sites. Our ideal candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong focus on providing quality workmanship.

For this role, it is imperative that you have the ability to reliably travel by your own means to different work sites within the Lower Mainland, with a valid driver's license or by public transit. You will also be able to successfully clear and maintain a mandatory government security clearance check.
