This is a contracted position through December

Our Construction Operator installs materials for cathodic protection construction projects. This position drives a truck, operates a track hoe, and digs hotlines. Job tasks may also include spotting equipment, labour, and any other duties required per the job site.

What You'll Do:

Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all times, and report vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to construction foreman

Review field files with foreman and/or project manager to understand job requirements for materials installation

Notify construction foreman of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternatives

Participate in weekly toolbox safety meetings and document equipment safety inspection audits

Document deficiencies in safety practices/equipment to the construction foreman

Additional duties as assigned

What We Need from You:

Minimum of 200 hours construction experience in the oil & gas industry

Equipment operating experience with track hoe and/or bobcat and/or trencher; Experience excavating live pipelines would be an asset

Successful completion of pre-employment drug & medical testing is a condition of employment

Class 5 Driver's License with reasonable Driver's Abstract required; Class 1 license is a plus

Demonstrate conscientiousness and dependability to produce results, and effectively communicate with both customers/fellow employees

Ability to travel (including significant overnight travel) and work overtime on a regular basis, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and lift 50 lbs regularly

Travel (shifts: 10 and 4 or 11 and 3)
